Frequently Asked Questions

What Do You Mean By "Custom-Tailored Treatment"?

Specializing in private alcohol treatment & recovery programs, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of people who have drinking problems. After more than 20 years of serving alcoholics from many different walks of life, we have found that our client’s greatest challenges – and their greatest victories – usually happen in their own environment where temptations are the greatest. In our experience, taking care of things at home is where people become the strongest. And, we recognize that for many people, things are really tough at home. Our programs are designed to address the unique and personal challenges our clients face in the real world.

What's The Difference Between Your Online Addiction Course And Your At-Home Recovery Program?

The Set Yourself Free Addiction Course is designed to educate and prepare you for the work ahead. Designed as a basic training course for people to start developing their self-confidence, self-respect and self-control, it will give you the initial tools and information to deal with any addiction, as well as some limited professional guidance to get you started on your recovery.

The At-Home Recovery Program takes a more in-depth and comprehensive approach towards conquering your addiction. Because it runs for an extended length of time, in the At-Home Recovery Program you will have a lot more 1-On-1 time with your Coach. This way you can go completely at your own pace, while having as much or as little help as you want, and only for as long as you feel you need it. Under the supervision of your Coach, the At Home Recovery Program ensures that you will...

  1. Accurately identify the real source of your problem.

  2. Develop your own latent power and ability to rise above the problem.

  3. Fully integrate your new knowledge, skills and experience over time.

  4. Accomplish the specific milestones that you decide are most important.

  5. Develop an expanded sense of context or identity that reduces suffering for yourself and others.

How Do Your Online Courses Work?

The Set Your Self Free Addiction Course includes 28 online video lessons with generic homework assignments to give you a basic working knowledge of how to conquer your addiction. The At Home Recovery Program gives you professional guidance and support not only during the 28 day course, but also for as long as you want it afterwards. This way, through extended private coaching, you will gain the very profound, personal and practical experience of identifying and removing your own biggest barriers to success.

The only real challenge is, right now your biggest barriers to staying sober are your own limiting beliefs. That means because you don't really know who or what to believe, right now you are lacking the certainty required to take effective action. The good news is, being expertly guided through specific daily exercises that will both challenge your beliefs and expand your sense of Self, in this comprehensive training it is guaranteed you will set yourself free of suffering by

  1. Neutralizing your conflicting thoughts and feelings.

  2. Developing confidence in your own abilities.

  3. Trusting your own judgement.

  4. Restoring the value of your word to yourself and others.

  5. Focusing on what is truly most important to you.

How Long Does It Take To Fully Recover?

Because everyone is different, our programs are designed so people can fully recover in their own time, at their own pace, and in a way that works for them. For some people, a single distinction may be all they need to see themselves in a completely different light. Other people may require intensive treatment. Still others may desire extended private support. If you want to get results quickly, the best thing to do is have a call with Mike.

Is 28 Days In The Program Long Enough?

Possibly. Though not likely. To fully integrate everything you will learn we recommend you practice certain exercises in the program for the next 2 or 3 months at least. The good news is, once you see how well your new habits work, you are not going to want to give them up. Most likely, even if you only stay in the program for a single month, you will still be finding immeasurable value in applying your new skills months, years, even decades after your 28 lessons are complete.

Should I Keep On Going To A.A.?

No. If you are taking one of our programs we highly recommend you stop going to A.A. We want you to be free of all your unhealthy dependencies as soon as possible. Including
your dependency on going to meetings, and having other people telling you what to do. We will show you how and why it is far more reliable to become personally responsible for your own recovery,
even if right now you are currently doubting your own judgement. The whole point is, you must be able to trust yourself and learn how to make choices that work for you. That will never happen by counting the number of days you haven't had a drink.

What Is Addiction Transformation?

Mike defines addiction as "The constellation of beliefs dictating a self-destructive behavioral strategy to stop or escape pain." Dictionaries, meanwhile, define transformation as a complete or major change in form. Addiction Transformation is a proprietary method Mike developed that completely alters the underlying beliefs causing self-destructive behavior. It results in the formation of a new and expanded sense of identity or context. Given that people have a need to be consistent with the way they define themselves, the "New You" naturally selects healthier and more effective ways to meet the specific needs that were
driving your old, undesired ways of being.
